Milano is Open again

Tomorrow is September!!
September means summer is coming to an end which is bad, but the weather is still warm and not too hot, which makes it the best time to explore the city of Milano.
And the best part of September is that the businesses open again. All of them!
Milano will be alive again, and open for business. If you were away during the last few weeks, make sure to look at old posts to see what you have missed, and be sure to try one or more of the suggestions. There are a lot of good restaurants you must visit and some great exhibits that you shouldn’t miss right now in Milano.
Dust off your scooter and get yourself exploring Milano!

Safe Travels

If you haven’t already noticed, Milano is empty.
If you have already left or if you are leaving soon for vacation, Safe travels and have fun!!

La Bella Città will continue to update the blog daily as people come and go from Milano, so continue to check in from wherever you are in the world.

Have a wonderful Ferregosto holiday break!

welcome to La Bella Città

I moved to Milano with visions of fashion shows, soccer games and with hopes of seeing Victoria Beckham shopping hand in hand with Donatella Versace on a random wednesday afternoon. To my dismay, Milano is like other major European cities, but besides the fashion fabulocity, it is a very underrated city.

I long for the websites offered in NYC- the sites that tell you when there is a sample sale, or when a new restaurant is opening. Because I know that there are more things going on in the city of Milano than what appears, but word of mouth is how this city is run.

La Bella Città is for anyone visiting Milano, living here, or hoping one day to visit. Whether you have never been to Milano, are here for 10 days or 10 years, I will try to uncover what the city has to offer.

From my observations as an American outsider to pictures of the beautiful, the funny and the real aspects of Milano and Italy as a whole, to local finds, great gifts and restaurants I love.

I am always curious on what’s going on in the city in which I live and I hope to share my insights into what the city of Milano has to offer.

It will be updated daily, so subscribe and please email me with your favorite things as I will do my best to showcase them.

Ciao e Buona giornata!
