This is the TAO or Sushi Samba of Milan. No big buddhas or expansive dining rooms, but the concept is the same. Japanese meets Brazilian, low light and exclusive atmosphere with a see and be scene crowd.

But the food does not disappoint. You don’t realize you have been eating mediocre sushi until you have good sushi and at Finger’s, it’s amazing. From the appetizers to the main courses, you cant order wrong. Order a lot, share and expect a high price tag. But it is worth it!

The owner is Brazilian, but you would never know it by the food at this Thai restaurant in Milan. The Pad thai is awesomely good as is the rest of the traditional meals that come out of the kitchen.

But more than the food is the atmosphere at Spice. Soft lighting, a perfectly attentive staff and an exotic, yet romantic feeling make up this place. It is the perfect restaurant for a date and quiet dinner away from the hustle of Milan. As Thai should be, the price is not outrageous making Spice a must go at some point!

This may be one of the most authentic mexican restaurants in the city. The inside is cozy and intimate but cool- full of nick nacks and bright colors that liven your mood like a good mexican place should. It is a nice change from the somewhat stagnant other mexican restauarnts in the city. The ambiance is perfect for a fun night of margaritas; wooden tables, bright table clothes, multi color walls and tapestries make it a restaurant that could only be mexican! (in a good way)

The menu is full of all the favorites- from burritos to fajitas to everything in between.

This restaurant right on Corso Sempione has a great location, beautiful inside and delicious food, so it is a wonder why it is not packed on a saturday night. Typical lebanese food is served in an upscale and beautiful dining room. The menu consists of three pages of mezzes that are all so good, it will be hard to choose from. It is a little pricy, so if you go overboard, you will be paying for it! But make sure to sample.

Everything is delicious and authentic lebanese. Unfortunately the main dish took forever to come out of the kitchen, but the interior is so nice and pleasant, you wont mind too much. White tablecloths and glitzy/middle eastern accents accentuate the room. Hopefully more people will discover this restaurant, because all it needs it a larger crowd dining with you!

If you are looking for a place that serves Sushi Aperitivo, this is it. It is a typical restaurant, small in size and simplistic in decor but it fills with people during aperitivo time and you definitely get more than what you pay for. At only 10-12 euro you have access to not a large selection of food, but all the basics: Edamame and fresh sushi rolls- made from the sushi chef in the corner- a salad dish, a fried dish and a few other things like rice.

The rolls vary and although the selection is limited, the dishes are constantly replenished and fresh. You can also order from the menu of course. But in a city of expensive sushi restaurants, if you want to enjoy it in an inexpensive way, head to wasabi for aperitivo time.

Head down to the Navigli one of these nights, because the canal is all lit up with lights and it is festive and beautiful. For a relaxed spanish bar/restaurant, head to i mas! at the beginning of the street close to viale gorizia. You walk into i mas, and you are transformed into this cosy spanish place where you know the food will be as good as the atmosphere.

They have a rich buffet during aperitivo time with everything from paella and pastas to potatoes and foccacia. If you can get a seat on the couches in the front then you can people watch and really relax with a drink from their expansive menu of concoctions.

The aperitivo ends promptly at 9pm however, to make sure the dinner scene is not outdone. They serve a selection of tapas, all very inexpensive and the menu has a wide variety of choices. It iss a mix of spanish tapas and traditional food, and it’s a wonderful little place. Recommended for an easy night out.

Near Porta Genova and Porta Tichenese, is this small susi restaurant that serves fresh sushi at very reasonable prices. There are no frill associated to the restaurant. But it is clean and simple with wooden tables and simple decor. Value for price, it is one of the best deals in town. Large sushi rolls, priced at what it should be. Therefore, you leave satisfied without paying an arm and a leg. (As you know, sushi in Milan, despite the competition is still expensive)

Know before you go that Wafu is not a trendy restaurant or a place for special occasions. It is a simple neighborhood restaurant where you will get a good Japanese meal – for lunch, dinner, or take away.

Dinner around 20 euro a person including house wine.

Mexican is always fun every once and a while and always fun with a group of friends. Nothing is better that a few margaritas – they always turn the night into something you didn’t expect.

Here is another place up on Corso Garibaldi that has ample outdoor seating and a great atmosphere. This sushi restaurant with black interior is a trendy place in Milan and rightfully so- it’s a cool.

The bar area in the front is small, so don’t expect to linger before or after dinner without feeling cramped. But the outside area is really pleasant on a nice night or for lunch, and it’s filled with people.

They do have an aperitivo- they serve the food in form of a bento box to your table. But the waiters make you leave promptly at 9pm to make space for diners, so come early to have enough time to sit and not feel rushed if aperitivo is what you are coming for.

Only suggestion is to not let them seat you at the low tables in the upstairs room. It may seem cool to sit on the floor in these small stool like chairs, but after your legs start to cramp and you try not to fall while getting up to use the bathroom, you will start to feel like they gave you the worst table in the restaurant. So leave the nostalgia for Tokyo, and opt for a normal table.

The sushi is really fresh and Bentobar is definitely worth a visit if you like Japanese.
