This restaurant is right on the Navigli. It is a beautiful inside, cozy and has no more than 15 tables. They do not have a large menu, but selective. Dinner will be an all night event at Porta Cicca, so make sure you are with great company and sit, enjoy your meal and a good bottle of wine.
The selection of seafood appetizers comes out of the kitchen in tiny portions, at a never ending pace. Stick with one of the set antipasti unless you are more of a foodie and like to linger. Make sure to make a reservation!

Hi.
Would you recommend this restaurant, and how expencive is it really? Im going to Milan this weekend, and havent decided..should i choose this or someplace different, like the Trattoria degli Orti, or Casa Tua – or Pont di Ferr?
Good blog, thank you
Anna
it depends on what you are looking for really. Casa tua us really great food at really inexpensive prices in a trattoria/restaurant environment. I would recommend that place to anyone.
Al pont de ferr is a little more adventurous in the food in that the chef makes dishes that is more for “foodies” although its delicious. its more expensive than casa tua but nt=it extravagent by any means
Porta cicca is the most beautiful dining room, but the food is less delicious in flavor. its more fancy and most expensive of the three. Less of a trattoria and more of a restaurant.
and trattoria degli orti is great food in a small dining room. I dont know what you are looking for. But i would choose casa tua, Gatto’ or al pont de ferr for atmosphere and food. Have fun!!!
