If you are into movies and the history of film, than the Cinema Oberdan is a place in Milan you must visit. Located right near the public gardens, Spazio Oberdan is the house of Milan’s Cineteca (film library). It contains a cinema, exhibition hall and a ticket office where you can buy tickets to shows all over the world- perhaps not necessary with the internet, but pretty cool if you are heading on vacation.
The theatre was opened in 1999 and boasts and exhibition hall with photography and contemporary art installations all having to do with film and art throughout the decades. And be sure to stop by he 200 seat cinema where they show films 5 days a week- it’s home of one of the largest film archives in Europe.
There are not many interesting places in Milan with changing exhibits, but this is one, so bookmark the website and check it periodically to have more interesting things to do in Milan 2010.
