Gnocco Fritto Restaurant

If you have never had Gnocco Fritto, this is the place to go to try it. Baskets piled high of light puffy fried piadina are served to your table with a selection of salami, mortadella, prosciutto, meat and more meat. Oh yes and cheeses. Typical of the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, this restaurant is as authentic as you will get in Milano.

Take note that Gnocco Fritto is not for the diet conscious or vegetarian patron, but rather a meal that will fill your belly. The pasta served after is just ok, so don’t skip on the starters to save room. Indulge and enjoy all the gnocco fritto you desire.

The restaurant is packed even on a tuesday night in the Navigli (where the restaurant options are endless) so you know that it must be legitimately good. And even through the waiters are busy, they are friendly and will add to your dinner experience.
So go with some friends- it’s a lively and fun place and a must try at some point in Milano.
