There are so many Italian Restaurants to choose from in Milano and so many pizzerias that it may be overwhelming to know where to begin. Anema e Cozze is delicious, it’s not expensive and the atmosphere is fun and lively. The restaurant is a member of the Gruppo Sebeto which also owns Rossopomodoro Pizzerias from Napoli, but don’t let multiple locations stop you from thinking the food is not authentic.
Anema e Cozze aims to redevelop the traditional pizzeria to combine “the two tracks of Parthenopean cuisine: pizza and the sea, blue fish, mussels and clams” Their goal is achieved in this restaurant. The pizza is fantastic- some of the best in the city. But so are the pasta and seafood dishes, so it’s hard to decide on what to order.
There are four locations in Milano, and are all very busy but because of the light Mediterranean interior, it’s such a pleasant restaurant to be in. The staff are either from Napoli themselves, or extremely friendly by nature and will take good care of you
So be it, it’s a chain, but the service combined with awesome food and cheap prices make it a must go. What more could you want for a dinner restaurant?!
